Surupa Sen’s compelling choreography is the elusive union of meaning and abstraction, set to an original score and performed to live music by a stunning ensemble of female dancers.

This year’s celebration features the Wylliams/Henry Danse Theatre of Kansas City, Mo., spotlighting a collection of repertory works ranging from contemporary classics to the avant garde. Amokura Performing Arts Group

The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood in partnership with the Seminole Tribe of Florida will present a free outdoor performance by Amokura at the ArtsPark at Young Circle in downtown Hollywood.
Amokura is a traditional Maori performing arts group from Aotearoa (Land of the Long White Cloud), otherwise known as New Zealand. A pan-tribal group with members representing many different tribes throughout Aotearoa, Amokura will perform a variety of traditional Maori chants, action songs, implement medleys and “haka.”
