Susy Navon was born in Argentina and came to the U.S.A. 20 years ago. Mr.Cernadas, Art Critique for the Buenos Aires Herald said once how unusual to find an Artist with such a parallel versatility. Navon’s extensive career started as an acrylic and collagist painter before venturing into different mediums. Navon now works with art on paper and textile art. Her latest series, Textiles as Art, she has used different materials such as yarn, rubber, wood, net and knitted baskets manipulating them to create an artistic context. “Unknotting” is a piece of Textile Art mounted on canvas with yarn and rubber as the principal materials.
