For teens ages 14-18 and young adults 18-25, the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood offers the Arts Aspire program where students can gain leadership experience, make friends, and explore careers related to the Arts.
Teens ages 14-18 may become a Teen Arts Ambassador gaining leadership experience and professional skills during the School Year Session (September-May) through monthly meetings, weekend workshops, and volunteering at Center events. Then, teens can apply for the Summer Session (May-August), to put into action the skills they gained during the school year session, at our Summer Arts Camp. Older teens, ages 17-18 who have participated as a Teen Arts Ambassador and have shown growth as a leader can be promoted to a
Young Adults ages 18-25 may apply for one of our three intern positions and become an Arts Apprentice. As an Arts Apprentice in the School Year Session, interns can gain real life work experience working alongside members of the Art and Culture Center staff as we plan, prepare, and execute our annual events and fundraisers. In the summer, Arts Apprentices gain work experience and engage directly with the fast pace of the Summer Arts Camp while exploring interest areas connected to their future careers.
Participants can gain community service hours and/or stipends while participating during the School Year Session and/or the Summer Session.
