Second Saturday of every month | Noon - 3 pm
Fee: Member: $3 | Non-Member: $5
Take a break from these chaotic times to relax and craft your cares away with the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood. Announcing the Creator’s Crafternoon: an afternoon where we open the Arts School to creative folks looking to connect and craft. The Center’s Educators are on hand with basic tips, techniques, tools and materials to help inspire and excite your inner maker. Bring your own already-in-progress project or start something new! We will even give you some supplies to finish your creation at home, if needed.
We know that true creative freedom can only truly flourish when you feel safe so our Crafternoon is designed with your safety in mind. Crafter-capacity will be kept low. Face masks will be mandatory for anyone inside the Arts School or Center; however, tables and crafting spaces* will be placed at least 6 feet apart around the backyard where crafters can work safely without wearing a mask. Hand sanitizer and hand-washing stations available.
Whether you’re looking to make some handmade gifts, meet some like-minded makers, or just spend an afternoon creating in the fresh air, our Creator’s Crafternoon is the event for you.
All skill levels welcome. Limited space available based on capacity.
First come, first served.
Each month focuses on a different craft or medium. However any and all in-progress projects are welcome; we encourage participants to follow their inspiration wherever it takes them and to use whatever available materials strike their fancy.
February 13: Paper-making
March 13: Basic Book-binding
