PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES

2020 Golf for Art
Operating Procedures
Under COVID-19
The Art and Culture Center values the health of our guests, community, and staff members.  Golf for Art will follow COVID-19 protocols including staggered tee times to ensure proper social distancing. We will also be limiting the field to just 64 golfers in order to ensure proper social distancing measures and comply with the county’s Emergency Order 20-21. We hope you’ll join us for some fresh air and stress release while helping the Center fund its programs!

Signage

  • Signage will be placed outside pro shop and beverage stations around the golf course stating social distancing and facial covering guidelines.

  • Signage will be placed on carts with information on social distancing an facial covering guidelines. Carts will also have a number to call for any needs that may arise.

  • Beverage stations and beverage carts will have signage stating social distancing and facial covering guidelines.

Beverage Station Procedures

  • Beverage stations will be stocked with disinfectant wipes and/or hand sanitizer.

  • Staff, as well as players, must wear a mask when accessing the beverage station. Staff at beverage stations are required to wear masks and gloves. Players are not allowed to touch anything at the beverage station and the staff member will hand any pre-packaged snack or drink to the player.

  • Masks will be available at each station in case a golfer needs it

  • Breakfast (fruit and a muffin) will be handed to each golfer in a bag. Beverages such as coffee, juice, etc., will be provided, as golfers walk in, by attendants wearing gloves and masks

Bathrooms

  • Each bathroom will be stocked with disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizers for golfers.

  • Players will be encouraged to use the bathroom one person at any time.

  • Golf course bathrooms will be disinfected periodically throughout the tournament.

Procedures during event - Double Tee Start

  • Players will be assigned tee times by Hollywood Beach Golf Club over the course of the morning to ensure staggered arrivals times and to avoid gathering at the golf course prior and after Golf for Art event. Tee times will begin at 8:00 AM and will follow every 10 minutes and will take place in hole #1 and hole #10. Once registered, golfers will receive their specific tee times and location closer to the event.

  • There will not be any hole flags, and the holes will have protective measures to allow golfers to retrieve their ball from the hole contact-free.

  • Players must remain at least six (6) feet apart at all times and a staff person will monitor player compliance on the course.

  • The awards ceremony will take place virtually on Sunday, December 12 at 4:00 pm.
