Mariposas a México

On October’s Free Arts! Family Day, decorate a unique, life-sized paper butterfly (mariposa) that will be sent to students in México in a Symbolic Monarch Migration. Your butterfly will travel to Mexico in the fall to join the millions of real butterflies that have flown thousands of miles to migrate there.

Your paper butterfly will be shared with students in schools in Michoacán, México, who will send back their own mariposas to students in the USA and Canada. Join us this October at the Art and Culture Center to participate in this special journey and then come back in May to see what butterflies have returned!
