Baldwyn is a new Board Trustee for the Center and the External Affairs Manager for Florida Power & Light in Broward County.

 

A recently returned resident of Miramar, Baldwyn has a history of community engagement. With his new role, he is eager to continue his community engagement and has also recently joined the boards of the Port Everglades Association and Museum of Design and Science. Prior to working with FPL, Baldwyn lived in Tallahassee, where he was the Chief Advisor to Commissioner Ronald Brisé at the Florida Public Service Commission where he helped lead the development of the Supplier Diversity Toolkit which provides aggregated data on supplier diversity spending among regulated utilities nationwide and coordinated with the Federal Communications Commission on the Telecommunications Act Modernization Task Force.

 

Baldwyn completed his undergraduate work at FIU and began his career as a lawyer in Houston completing his JD at Texas Southern University, focusing his practice on complex business litigation, toxic tort litigation and related oil and gas matters. Baldwyn is married to his beautiful wife, Dr. Shirley English, and has two wonderful children. He is happy to live, work, and play in South Florida where he grew up and looks forward to strengthening the community where he was raised.
