Michael Goodman, of the Florida Theatrical Association, meets with Art and Culture Center’s Broadway

Michael Goodman, of the Florida Theatrical Association Board of Directors, came backstage to meet some of the cast from the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood’s Broadway Actors campers prior to their performance of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, JR.

Florida Theatrical Association has been instrumental to the Art and Culture Center’s Summer Arts Camp as they provide student scholarships, giving the opportunity to campers who would otherwise not be able to experience the Center’s camps, as well as financial assistance to the performing arts camp programs.

The performances took place at the 500-seat Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center on August 12 and 13 and was the culmination of the campers’ four weeks of preparations, experiencing the entire process, from audition to curtain bow, of staging this full-scale Broadway JR production. The Broadway Actors campers ranged in ages from 8 to 16. Over 700 people attended the two nights of performances.
