Join artist Samuel Lopez De Victoria this Sunday, June 21 from Noon to 4 pm at the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood for a game-inspired art activity that repurposes a deck of playing cards. Using card layouts designed by the artist, families can design their own cards provided by the Center to take home with them. Additionally, the artist will show different methods of creative game-making with the cards you create.
Free Arts! Family Day takes place every third Sunday of the month and includes free admission and art-making activity for everyone. Each guest will receive their own Time To Play art-making packet with the following items for their use only:
8 new playing cards
Worksheet with original templates designed by Samuel Lopez De Victoria
Plastic sleeves for playing cards
Additional items, including markers and scissors, will be sanitized and prepared for one-time use. Visitors can also tour Time To Play, a family-friendly exhibition of works by local and international artists that incorporates both visual objects and immersive art to encourage forms of play through education and creativity. Our take-home brochure inspires both on-site and at-home art-making activities. The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood values the safety of our staff and guests and will have COVID-19 protocols in place. Click here for visitor guidelines. Free Arts! Family Days is funded in part by PNC Foundation, and City of Hollywood General Fund Social Service Agency Grant.
